A range of alternatives at different price points is available in the same neighbourhood, from budget options around 1,500 THB/night to four-star hotels at 4,000–5,000 THB/night. All recommended hotels are within 10–20 minutes of the venue by foot, BTS, or MRT.

The most convenient transit option to the venue is MRT Sam Yan Station (Exit 2), which is directly adjacent to the Chulalongkorn University campus. Hotels near BTS National Stadium or BTS Siam are also very well placed.

It depends on your nationality/passport and the length of your stay. Thailand introduced updated visa and entry rules effective September 15, 2026. Depending on your passport, you may fall into one of the following categories: https://www.thaievisa.go.th/

1. 30-Day Visa Exemption (No visa required prior to travel)

Passport holders from 60 countries and territories can enter Thailand without applying for a visa in advance and are granted a stay of up to 30 days.

• Eligible Nationalities Include: Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brunei, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Fiji, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Maldives, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Türkiye, UAE, Ukraine, UK, USA, and Vietnam.

2. Bilateral Visa Waiver Agreements

Thailand maintains bilateral agreements with select countries granting visa-free entry for specific durations:

• 90-Day Stay: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru, and South Korea.

• 30-Day Stay: China, Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, Laos, Macao, Mongolia, Russia, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam.

• 14-Day Stay: Cambodia; Myanmar (air arrivals only).

3. 15-Day Visa Exemption & Visa on Arrival (VOA)

• 15-Day Visa Exemption: Citizens of Mauritius and Seychelles receive a 15-day stay without needing a prior visa.

• Visa on Arrival (VOA): Citizens of Azerbaijan, Belarus, and Serbia can apply for a 15-day Visa on Arrival at designated immigration checkpoints upon payment of a 2,000 THB fee.

4. Visa Required Prior to Departure

If your country is not included on the visa-exempt or bilateral waiver lists, you must apply for and obtain an entry visa from a Thai Embassy or Consulate (or e-Visa portal) before traveling.

• Note: Passports previously eligible under older schemes (e.g., Uzbekistan, Armenia) now require an advance visa.

Important Entry Requirements for ALL Attendees

Regardless of whether you need a visa, all international travelers must prepare the following before boarding:

1. Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC):

   All foreign nationals must complete the online TDAC within 3 days prior to arrival at tdac.immigration.go.th (this form is free of charge).

2. Passport Validity: Valid for the full duration of your stay (ideally at least 6 months remaining).

3. Onward/Return Ticket: Proof of departure from Thailand within your permitted stay duration.

4. Accommodation Details: Hotel booking/conference hotel confirmation.

5. Proof of Funds: Evidence of adequate funds for your stay, if requested by immigration officials.

Additional Notes for Conference Attendees

• Extensions: Travelers entering under the 30-day visa exemption can apply for a single 30-day extension at a local Thai immigration office for a 1,900 THB fee (subject to approval).

• Land Borders: Visa-exempt travelers entering via land borders are restricted to a maximum of 2 entries per calendar year (exceptions apply for citizens of Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Brunei).

• Business vs. Work: Entering under tourist visa exemption covers short stay attendance for conferences/business visits, but does not allow formal employment with a Thai-based entity.

All non-Thai nationals entering Thailand must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) before arrival. The TDAC is a free online form that replaced the old paper TM6 card and is required regardless of your visa status or mode of entry.

You will receive a confirmation email with a QR code — save it to your phone or print a copy to present at immigration if requested. Note that the TDAC is valid for a single entry only and must be resubmitted for each trip to Thailand.
